Aqua America is currently the largest publicly traded water utility in the U.S. Based in Philadelphia, it provides water and wastewater utility services to 2.8 million residents in suburban areas outside of Chicago, Philadelphia, and Cleveland, as well as to other communities in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky and Maine.
